In light of the upcoming construction of HEC Montreal’s new downtown building, Labid Aljundi, MTL Développement’s founder and CEO, made a generous donation to the HEC Foundation.
A graduate of HEC Montreal, he has always felt a strong attachment to his alma mater, and he is glad to offer support in the expansion of this world-class business school.
“This contribution is my way to thank HEC Montreal for everything it has given me these past years. I am proud to add my name to the list of entrepreneurs and philanthropists who support HEC Montreal’s new building project in the business district”, he said.
Michel Patry, CEO of the HEC Montreal Foundation, showed appreciation for this $275,000 donation. He said:
“We are happy to count on the HEC Montreal community’s help in the completion of this project. Mr. Aljundi’s significant support for the new building reflects our graduates’ commitment and their mobilization towards a unifying project for the business world. His support in the education of the next generation of businesspeople shows how much we are all united for HEC Montréal’s success.”
As a recognition for this donation, one classroom in the new campus will be named after Mr. Aljundi. He will be also recognized as a member of the Board of Governors of the HEC Montreal Foundation, a title reserved to the donors who have supported the School with a contribution of $100,000 or more.
